Happy New Year 2012

Each year is a time for renewal and a time for self-reflection. 365 days have passed with many emotional experiences and self-definition. Life has found this cycle to let us live moments fully and give us space to discern what we wish to keep and what we wish to let go.

One more time, this year isn't different in that way. Let us reflect on our past year, individually as well as collectively and choose wisely what has served our greatness and what hasn't. Let us become more conscious about our choices and decisions and let us rejoice in the beauty of a new cycle of 365 days to experience a more essential adventure.

Happy New Year!

100 Things I Want To Do Before I'm 100

1.) Paint a picture.

2.) Publish something. A novel. A memoir. A poem. Anything!

3.) Learn how to play the piano.

4.) Help design and build my own home.

5.) ~~Get my diploma.~~(2003)

6.) ~~Get my bachelor's degree.~~(2008)

7.) Get my master's degree.

8.) Get my PhD.

9.) ~~Attend my primary school reunion.~~(2004)

10.) Attend a high school reunion.

11.) Go on a cruise.

12.) Be on T.V. (Even if I'm just in the background waving!)

13.) Ride an elephant or a camel!! This idea just came to me, but it automatically became a must.

14.) ~~Win an award or contest.~~(2008)

15.) Learn how to sew something.

16.) Fall deeply in love - helplessly and unconditionally.

17.) Get married to someone who in love with me.

18.) Give birth. (I could just say I want to be a mother, but I wanted to make it clear that I actually want to experience giving birth. oh, and I want to do this at least 3 times!)

19.) Have sons and daughters.

20.) Hear my first child say "Mama" for the first time.

21.) Go to Venice for my honeymoon.

22.) Be able to fit into my wedding dress after I've had all my children.

23.) Give my mom her first grandson.

24.) See all my children get married.

25.) Be a grandmother.

26.) Be a great grandmother.

27.) Go on a romantic vacation with my husband.

28.) Have nice furniture. I know this may sound superficial, but I just really want it!

29.) Have a library with a ladder. Yes, like on Beauty and the Beast.

30.) Give a speech somewhere important.

31.) Pay for a random stranger's groceries or meal at a restaurant.

32.) ~~Meet a celebrity.~~(2011)

33.) Own more than 15 pairs of shoes.

34.) Own a nice car.

35.) Witness a miracle.

36.) Go to Disney World.

37.) Sleep in a hammock.

38.) Go rock climbing.

39.) Go white water rafting.

40.) Catch a butterfly.

41.) Achieve my ideal weight.

42.) Ride a gigantic roller coaster.

43.) Teach my pets a trick.

44.) Have long hair.

45.) Have straight, white teeth.

46.) Own multiple homes.

48.) See my family genuinely happy.

49.) Stand under a natural waterfall.

50.) Learn how to fish and catch a fish.

51.) Have a bunch of cash and throw it up in the air. I will seriously do this someday.

52.) Get a dozen roses.

53.) Go to every state in the Malaysia.

54.) Eat Italian food in Italy.

55.) Safari in Africa.

56.) Never get a speeding ticket.

57.) Attend at least one major sporting event.

58.) Throw a huge party and invite every one of my friends.

59.) Skydive.

60.) Have my portrait painted.

61.) Learn to speak a foreign language.

62.) Be an extra in a film.

63.) Learn to rollerblade.

64.) Buy a round-the-world air ticket and a rucksack and run away.

65.) Be the boss.

66.) Be someone's mentor.

67.) Teach someone illiterate to read.

68.) Sing a great song in front of an audience.

69.) Sleep under the stars.

70.) Scuba dive.

71.) Go up in a hot-air balloon.

72.) Run a marathon.

73.) Set foot on each of the seven continents.

74.) Surf. It’s not about being a ripper but just catching waves.

75.) Buy a boat and learn to sail.

77.) Attend the Olympics. Whatever you say about the commercialism of the Olympic Games, they are one of the biggest events on the planet.

78.) Shake hands with someone who has truly changed a country.

79.) Start my own business doing something that I really love.

80.) Be a matchmaker: Introduce your single friends to each other (the rest is up to them!)

81.) Live in a different country for at least 6 months.

82.) Bake a cake for someone special.

83.) Do something completely crazy and out of character.

84.) Fly first class.

88.) Take my parents on a vacation abroad (beside than Singapore).

89.) Learn not to take what others do or say personally.

91.) Make exercise a regular habit.

92.) Forgive and be forgiven.

93.) Never stop exploring.

94.) Donate blood.

95.) Own a convertible sports car.

97.) Keep friendships with my close friends throughout my entire lifetime.

98.) Always be as much in love.

99.) Make a difference.

100.) Live to be a happy, active 100-year-old woman!
